Sport played at its best is surely a form of art and to celebrate the fusion of art and sport here is a collection of silkscreen prints created by John Bennett and featuring some of our favourite sporting icons.

About the Artist

John Bennett was born and bred in Birmingham. He moved to Bristol in the early 90s to do a Fine Art degree. It was here he found a passion for silkscreen printing. John has been a full time Art teacher for the past 10 years (he is currently Head of Art at Henbury School in Bristol) and produces his own work ‘as a hobby’ in his own time. His work often combines graphic imagery and icons printed onto various found objects such as wood, metal and cardboard. He has produced graphics and illustration work for companies such as Orange, Howies and Attic clothing. He has also produced a series of private commissions and consistently provided work for Bristol-based Brazilian restaurant Bocanova.
