Congratulations to Amy Williams!
Amy’s incredible gold medal winning performances on her sled, “Arthur”, in the skeleton bob at the Vancouver Winter Olympics have been a cause of much celebration the length and breadth of Britain!
Our very own Sarah McCann, pictured here to the right of the “Queen of Speed”, is understandably especially proud since she is Amy’s cousin and she and her family have been following her fortunes for more than one Winter Olympics.
Amy has wowed us all with her gutsy bravado and skill as she hurtled down the track at speeds approaching 90 mph withstanding massive G-forces and away from the competition she is proving to have real star quality too with her natural charm and easy down to earth manner.
Many congratulations Amy. We hope you have a well deserved rest and all best wishes for next season!
